Drinks x Design: Design for Business

In partnership with MarxModa, Design Core Detroit is celebrating Design in Business on Thursday, May 4th at 751 Griswold St, Detroit from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

MarxModa is Eastern Michigan’s Certified MillerKnoll Dealer, determined to make a difference in everything they do by offering their customers a level of excellence in product and service that is unmatched throughout the industry.

MarxModa is located on Griswold, which was once considered Detroit’s Wall Street with 22 banks located within 2 miles. The building was built for the First State Bank by famed Detroit architect Albert Kahn and his sculptor partner Corrado Parducci. The space was later occupied by the Olde Discount Corporation in 1970 earning the name the Olde Building. In 1997 it was closed for good and remained vacant until 2016.

Once the building was renovated, MarxModa’s designers and partners designed an environment where old meets new.

Attendees will be able to tour specific spaces and learn more about their business. In addition, there will be pop-up displays and installations by Detroit designers.
