Juneteenth at Wilson: Stories of Us
June 19 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Celebrate Juneteenth at Ralph Wilson Park as we honor the stories, culture, and resilience that shape Detroit.
As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this special Juneteenth gathering invites us to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate who we are, and imagine what we can build together for future generations.
Through live music, African drumming and dance, poetry, storytelling, and community conversations, we’ll explore the many stories that make up Detroit. From the city’s rich cultural traditions and creative spirit to the resilience of the people who have shaped its past and continue to shape its future.
This event highlights the power of community, connection, and shared experiences.
Together, we’ll honor the voices that celebrate Detroit’s unique identity and create space to dream about a future rooted in justice, belonging, and opportunity for all.
