CELEBRATING PEWABIC: 120 YEARS OF DETROIT’S POTTERY

Join us for a celebration of Detroit’s National Historic Landmark Pottery. Tour the iconic studios, shop Pewabic’s latest designs and work from dozens of ceramic artists before unwinding with refreshments in the courtyard.
Dive into Pewabic’s 120 years of making in Detroit in the second floor museum to learn about the history of Pewabic tiles and pottery, our making process and the impact of Pewabic on Detroit design and architecture. Our team of designers will be on hand to answer your Pewabic Tile questions.
Visitors will also have the option to experience the art of tile glazing like a Pewabic Artisan with an optional pre-paid workshop experience.

Founded in 1903, Pewabic is one of the oldest continually operating potteries in the country. Working out of our National Historic Landmark studio on Detroit’s east side, we preserve a tradition of handcraftsmanship that has enriched lives for generations.
