Dequindre Cut Freight Yard Opening Night Party

The Dequindre Cut Freight Yard returns for the 2024 season with a celebration to kick off summer on Friday, May 17! Enjoy food from Big Bo’s Grill, beer and cocktails from the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard bar, ice cream, bonfires, free s’mores, karaoke with Karaoke Kingz, and games and activities for all ages. For those looking to explore the Cut, Motown Roller Club will be hosting a group ride along the Dequindre Cut. Bring your skates down to the Freight Yard to join the fun! (Skateboards and bikes also welcome!)
The Dequindre Cut Freight Yard is a free, all ages beer garden built from nine repurposed shipping containers located on the north end of the Dequindre Cut. Open on weekends from May – September, the space features a variety of lawn games like fowling, cornhole, and giant Jenga, plus local food vendors and a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Enter the Dequindre Cut at the Wilkins + Orleans entrance for the quickest access. For those arriving by car, free parking is located in the gravel lot at Wilkins + Orleans in Eastern Market. Free bike parking is available on-site at the Freight Yard, as is a MoGo station.
