I-75 Cap Feasibility Study Public Meeting #2

On Tuesday, February 24 from 6:00-7:30 p.m., the DDP, in partnership with MDOT and the City of Detroit, will host an in-person community meeting on progress of the I-75 Cap Feasibility Study. This will be the second in a series of four meetings to gather input on the design and implementation of the park caps. The meeting will be held at the MSU Detroit Center, located at 3408 Woodward Avenue.

This meeting is part of a four-meeting series that is focused on sharing progress and gathering community input to help shape the future design and implementation of the proposed three caps over I-75.

  • A closer look at how proposed caps could reconnect neighborhoods
  • Opportunities to share your experience, priorities, and ideas to help guide public space design
The Feasibility Study began with community engagement in October 2025 and continues through June 2026. This phase evaluates technical, environment, and transportation and public space considerations, while keeping community voices at the center of the process. The study is being led by AECOM, an international transportation and infrastructure firm.
