Mobile Detroit 2050 / Panel Discussion
September 22, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Compelling AI images and visions have the power to change the course of current development. The widespread deployment of the car originated in Detroit and there is no better place to imagine futures for transportation, access, and mobility. Innovation thrives with diverse perspectives.
AI has the power to quickly produce images from text and as this technology moves into widespread use, it has the ability to democratize the work of thinkers, dreamers, and disruptors to contribute their unique visions of what lies ahead. How will we move about the city in 2050?
Mobile Detroit 2050 has been selected to take part in the Detroit Month of Design in September 2023, a citywide celebration that gathers designers, creatives, and innovators across the metro community to leverage creativity as an engine for sustainable and equitable development.
The proposed Mobile Detroit 2050 exhibition presents an exciting opportunity to showcase Detroit’s status as a national and global design capital, further enhancing its reputation as the sole city in the United States to receive the UNESCO City of Design designation. This designation aligns Detroit with a network of 31 other design cities and a total of 180 cities worldwide.
Join LTU_CoAD for an innovative discussion on AI and Design that is part of Detroit Month of Design, 2023.
