Movie Nights In The D – Shrek

Get ready for a fun-filled summer evening at Movie Nights in the D! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a variety of classic films on the big screen at our free outdoor movie series at Campus Martius Park. Grab a chair or blanket and settle in on the lawn for a relaxing night under the stars. Arrive by 6 pm to take part in exciting onsite activations before the movie kicks off at 7 pm. And don’t forget to grab some delicious popcorn from Jetta’s Popcorn while you enjoy the show! 

All of this year’s Movie Nights in the D will also feature ticket giveaways courtesy of The Detroit Zoo.

July 25 – Shrek | PG

A mean lord exiles fairytale creatures to the swamp of a grumpy ogre, who must go on a quest and rescue a princess for the lord in order to get his land back.

Don’t miss the magic before the movie! Arrive early for a special pre-show performance by the Detroit Opera. Two vocalists, soprano Mia Mandineau and baritone David Moan, along with pianist John Etsell, will offer songs from the Opera and Broadway Musical Stages from 6:30 to 7 PM.
