Movie Nights In The D – Wild Robot

Get ready for a fun-filled summer evening at Movie Nights in the D! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a variety of classic films on the big screen at our free outdoor movie series at Campus Martius Park. Grab a chair or blanket and settle in on the lawn for a relaxing night under the stars. Arrive by 6 pm to take part in exciting onsite activations before the movie kicks off at 7 pm. And don’t forget to grab some delicious popcorn from Jetta’s Popcorn while you enjoy the show! 

All of this year’s Movie Nights in the D will also feature ticket giveaways courtesy of The Detroit Zoo.

July 11 – Wild Robot | PG

After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose

Arrive early and from 6 pm to 7 pm attendees can visit CHEMpreneurIST’s Step into Innovation Station: Wild Robot Edition, where participants can take on the role of eco-innovators! Using upcycled objects, they will design and prototype their own unique Wild Robots to take. This engaging hands-on experience introduces key concepts in sustainability, engineering, and entrepreneurship while encouraging future changemakers to build with empathy, curiosity, and a sense of purpose.
