Designed to inspire and energize visitors\, this space showcases our creative community while connecting to the park’s sustainability mission.  \n  \nOffering yoga and curated programming as well as NEW attractions including a candlelight Pilates session\, a “DETROIT LOOKS GOOD ON YOU” themed photo vignette\, a holiday performance by a String Ensemble quartet from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and a pop-up art gallery featuring local designers\, artists and photographers—Design Haus has a winter experience for every mood.   \n  \nSaturday\, Nov. 29\, 6-8 p.m.  \nA String Ensemble quartet from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will be performing holiday favorites in our heated tent. SUMMARY:Kwanzaa Celebration and Motor City Kinara Lighting
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Alkebu-lan Village\, the City of Detroit\, the Downtown Detroit Partnership and other community partners\, we are pleased to welcome back the Motor City Kwanzaa Kinara and Lighting at Campus Martius Park.  \n  \nRecognized as one of the largest Kwanzaa Kinara displays in the world\, this 30-foot-tall monument is designed to stand alongside Detroit’s other major holiday displays\, serving as a vibrant symbol of African American life\, culture\, and community.  \n  \nJoin us Thursday\, Dec. 26\, from 3-7 p.m. for the lighting of the first Kwanzaa candle\, Umoja (Unity) and kick off this meaningful week of celebration with family\, friends and neighbors.  \n  \nExperience music\, joy and community spirit as Detroit comes together to honor Kwanzaa’s traditions.
