Tour the iconic studios\, shop Pewabic’s latest designs and work from dozens of ceramic artists before unwinding with refreshments in the courtyard. \nDive into Pewabic’s 120 years of making in Detroit in the second floor museum to learn about the history of Pewabic tiles and pottery\, our making process and the impact of Pewabic on Detroit design and architecture. Our team of designers will be on hand to answer your Pewabic Tile questions. \nVisitors will also have the option to experience the art of tile glazing like a Pewabic Artisan with an optional pre-paid workshop experience. \nEvent Details\nSaturday\, September 16\n10am – 5pm \nAbout Pewabic\nFounded in 1903\, Pewabic is one of the oldest continually operating potteries in the country. Working out of our National Historic Landmark studio on Detroit’s east side\, we preserve a tradition of handcraftsmanship that has enriched lives for generations. Pewabic today is an active working pottery\, architectural tile studio\, ceramic arts education center and vibrant cultural destination that attracts visitors from around the world. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, Pewabic is guided by a singular mission: to enrich the human spirit through clay.
