Generally tougher than paper made from wood pulp\, Washi is used in many traditional arts\, like Origami\, Shodo\, and Ukiyo-e\, as well as to make various everyday goods\, like clothes and toys. \nThis hour-long workshop is free with museum admission but has limited availability and requires registration. Never seen a line of code before? No problem! Basic computer knowledge is required–that’s it.\nDuring this remote intro to coding workshop\, students will be coding right along with their instructors; it is very hands-on. You will be working within a code editing website (repl.it) while you’re video chatting and learning with the instructor in Zoom. \nWhat do you need for this class? \n\nA computer with Google Chrome downloaded on it\nA free  repl.it account (set this up before class\, it takes a little time)\nA free zoom.us account\nA willingness to learn something new\n\nWho should take this class? \n\nAnyone interested in attending a Grand Circus Bootcamp\nAnyone interested in writing their first line of code\nAnyone brand new to coding or people who want to brush up on their skills\n\nWhen is Intro to Coding offered? \n\nTuesdays from 6 – 8 pm\nThe first Saturday of each month from 9 – 11 am\n\nOur workshops are taught by Grand Circus alumni who made the jump into a tech career.
