DESCRIPTION:In partnership with MarxModa\, Design Core Detroit is celebrating Design in Business on Thursday\, May 4th at 751 Griswold St\, Detroit from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. \nMarxModa is Eastern Michigan’s Certified MillerKnoll Dealer\, determined to make a difference in everything they do by offering their customers a level of excellence in product and service that is unmatched throughout the industry. \nMarxModa is located on Griswold\, which was once considered Detroit’s Wall Street with 22 banks located within 2 miles. The building was built for the First State Bank by famed Detroit architect Albert Kahn and his sculptor partner Corrado Parducci. The space was later occupied by the Olde Discount Corporation in 1970 earning the name the Olde Building. In 1997 it was closed for good and remained vacant until 2016. \nOnce the building was renovated\, MarxModa’s designers and partners designed an environment where old meets new. \nAttendees will be able to tour specific spaces and learn more about their business. In addition\, there will be pop-up displays and installations by Detroit designers.

DESCRIPTION:This will be ComposingDetroit’s 4th gallery exhibition located at The Riverside\, 8711 Grand River\, Detroit\, MI 48204 where we dsiplay local artists’ work who have submitted and have been curated in house by our team. There will be over 30 different artists work being displayed in varying amounts. The Riverside is a 1920’s renovated warehouse with an amazingly unique charm like any other gallery space in the Detroit area. The space features white washed brick and gallery lighting to really bring the work to life\, as well as an indoor/outdoor space with overhanging lights and plant life\, to soak in the vibe of this lovely atmosphere. \nThe show is open to the public from 5:00-10:00PM on Saturday\, April 29th\, 2023. Food will be available to purchase from Coronado’s Southwest Tacos\, but alcohol will be served to all guests 21+ for free. The event is being sponsored by Unfolding Creative\, a local print shop located in Ferndale\, Michigan.

DESCRIPTION:Visit Cranbrook Academy of Art and the Cranbrook Educational Community campus on Saturday\, April 29\, from 1-5pm! \nOPEN STUDIOS is the only time the general public can explore the studios of our MFA candidates and Artists-in-Residence (faculty). \n\nExplore the private studio spaces of Cranbrook Academy of Art\n\n\nStudent art will be for sale\n\n\nReceive free admission to Cranbrook Art Museum\, Cranbrook House and Gardens\, Cranbrook Institute of Science (paid admission required for SUE: The T-rex Experience and the Acheson Planetarium)\n\n\nFree self-guided tours of Saarinen House hosted by the Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research\nFree self-guided tours of Cranbrook House.\n\n\nFood trucks and hands-on art activities for children\n\nParking and Transportation \nLarge parking lots on campus will be available for public parking. Bus shuttles will be available all day to transport visitors to check-in on the Cranbrook Art Museum Peristyle. Parking details will be added as the event approaches.

By registering for this session\, you acknowledge and agree to our session rules\, event waiver & media release (provided below). \nEvent Waiver & Media Release \nI release\, waive\, discharge and covenant not to sue 360 Detroit\, Inc. or any sponsored participant of this 360 Detroit\, Inc. event\, its administrators\, directors\, agents\, affiliates\, organizers\, participants\, volunteers\, and/or the owners or leasers of premises used to conduct this event\, all of which are hereinafter referred to as “releases”\, from any and all liability to 360 Detroit\, Inc. for any and all claims\, demands\, losses of damages on account of injury\, including death or damage to property\, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the releases or otherwise.
